sola church: a brand new amassing house
copenhagen-based design apply jaja architects has finished a brand new church within the the city of sola, norway. designed for each non secular congregations and as a party house, this spiritual construction redefines the id of the small the city. the general composition takes form as a horizontal base manufactured from granite, which carries 4 wood-clad development volumes. the biggest one, the nave, is positioned as an instantaneous extension of the primary side road assembling a plaza that welcomes the believers and passers-by.

when mild performs with artwork
situated on the finish of the primary side road, the sola church is perceived as a meeting hub for town, opening as much as its environment. the design workforce at jaja architects began with a symmetrical transparent shape to supply guests with a relaxed and balanced revel in. in an try to shape a sacred and poetic surroundings, they shifted their consideration to lights enhancement.
